History-
Highest number of firearm homicides-
The U.S has the highest number of firearm homicides in the world and they also
have the highest number of residents with a firearm of 89 per every 100. This
is why something needs to be done because we don’t look good having the highest
number deaths in the world and we also can’t afford to keep losing loved ones.
This just shows the history of the problem and what has happened and is
happening because of guns. This relates to my problem because this is the cause
of what guns do. (2010)
Obamas
gun control proposal- Obama proposes sweeping changes to gun control
where many things are limited and controlled and requires criminal background check for gun
sales. This is yet still a proposal and has not been passed yet. This related

Obamas proposal mainly focuses on.

Shooting
in the past 5 years-
Dark
Knight rises Premiere- 12 dead and 58 injured
Sandy
Hook School shooting-
20 children and 6 adults killed including himself
The
two main shooting these past 5 years have been the Dark Knight Rises Premiere
shooting and the Sandy Hook School shooting in which they both consisted of
multiple kills. This is similar to my problem because the shooter at the Sandy
Hook school was a troubled teenager who seemed like he was having problems at
home because he didn’t just kill all those kids, he also killed his mother and
the shooter at the Dark Knight Rises premiere was in his late 20’s and he must
have been having some mental issues or life problems if he went into the movies
and shot and killed 12 people and injured 58 others.
